Chuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnkkkkkkk!

I think the lottery is stupid.

And yet...

I have grand ambitions to do the following: go the the Ellen show during Christmas and win all the giveaways. Or get on The Price is Right and play Plinko. Or win a half million on Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

In fact, I've thought long and hard about how to win a little pocket change. That Regis show Password that was on for a little while...I would kill on that. But I'd be too good and they wouldn't pick me to be on it. And I'm not quite fast enough for Jeopardy. I might do okay if they never asked any wine or geography questions. Wheel of Fortune? Consider the name. Fortune by definition means I would have very little control over the outcome. Ditto for Let's Make a Deal, and I lack the nerve besides.

I think the perfect show for me is that pop culture trivia competition they do on VH-1 every summer where you compete in teams of three. And you have to think of a cool name for your team.

Oh, wait. I just realized I have something new to obsess about. I need to think of a name and an outfit for my team. My favorite from last year was "Fragilay", referencing A Christmas Story, of course.

I'm thinking....I'm thinking...

Got it. We'll be the Truffle Shuffle.

Okay, I gotta get after this. I'm going to earn me a down payment for our next house.

Nancy, tell Paula and Martha I'll be calling!

LOL! Dream on . . . but hey, dreams and hope are what help us get through life, right?

Two of our sons live in HB, by the way, and dreams of one day affording to buy homes there keep them living in apartments. Great place to live, though, with the beach and all.

I have had the best day dreams about plinko and Wheel of Fortune. I don't care if it's a gamble, I'd solve all the puzzles.

Now go out there and achieve your dreams!

stopping by from World According to the Little Fish.

Gotta say, the only game show that I've ever though I would risk putting my large behind on would be "Deal or No Deal"...but I always tell my husband HE needs to apply.

So is that chocolate truffles, or the kind pigs sniff? Cuz if its the kind Pigs Sniff, I think Pig Sniff would be a great name too.

The Truffle Shuffle! That's awesome! :)

Unfortunately, it makes me want to EAT a truffle. Which I happen to have...within reach. Darn. I need to hide those better. :)

Best of luck with your downpayment work! :) I'm sure you'll be great at whatever you attempt to do!

I'd stick with the Ellen goal. Especially since it is mine as well!

I think the lottery is stupid too. But The Price is Right? That's an entirely different story!

Hilarious...you'd make a great team. I have a mind for trivia but not anything that would earn me money...ratzzzz

I just like that you're only planning on winning half a mil on who wants to be a millionaire.

Any reference to Christmas Story makes me snort with delight. Thanks.

The lottery is a tax on the unintelligent. But remember that game show winnings are taxed at about a 50% rate. I know some who've gone on and they hardly get their costs covered.

That said, I've always wanted to go on the Family Feud. SInce I was very little. (My little brother called it the Family Nude.) I'd suck at it because I'm no good under pressure, but sitting on my sofa I rock.

I got on Password...right before they canceled the show! But my husband won for a week straight on Pictionary. we used the money to relandscape our house. It was awesome. You're in the land of the game show. I think you should audition. Right now.

Oh, and you have to go see this movie: Slum Dog Millionaire. The WGA sent us a free copy (Jeff's in the guild) and it is truly amazing! (Speaking of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire).

Love the big dreamin' of it all. And the self-confidence that seems to dominate such thinking. I could never quite manage that, I don't think. You go girl!

You sound a lot like my husband. He loves dreaming of winning the monopoly game at McDonald's. Seriously. He used to daydream about it when were first married. And the dream still lives...

Funny. I'm with you on just about all of those, although in watching them my husband and I discuss all sorts of strategies.

Wheel of Fortune. . .

Charette's hubby was on pictionary?!?!?! That rocks!
