Man, I love it when one of my posts is met with the sound of one hand clapping.
Sigh.
Well, here's a truly outstanding post from InkMom that I've been meaning to link to for a while. Go check it out. You won't be sorry. She's is SUCH a good writer.

Oh, my . . . I wish I'd done a little editing. Maybe I will, right now!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this. Truly.
That is one of my favorite posts by inkmom. :)
Ummm? Breadbasket? I'm lost.
Myeh...it's summertime...comments always drop off this time of year. In fact, I'm about to be absent from the comment scene for nearly a week. Byeeeeee!
And I'm scared to click that link, I already read too many blogs...
Thanks for the link!
Love that lady, too!
Should I? Shouldn't I? I am such a bloggy dork. . .
Love InkMom. Love you. Summer comas have us all in a daze. Nothin' personal, babe! Think you're the cat's taped paws!
...and breadbasket just wouldn't have evoked the proper geographic image. Go with your nut...er, I mean, GUT, Miz M. Trust your instincts.
You're awesome, Melanie. ;) Don't worry about the "breadbasket" thing.
I'm off to read InkMom's link!
thanks for the sharing the link :)
haven't been by in a while sort blogged out but enjoyed coming back and seeing you :)
Cheers,
Anita
I'm sorry - I'm such a bad blog friend right now. But just know I read and love EVERYTHING you write.
Thanks for linking us to a great post.
Ditto on everything Kim said except about the being absent.
Wow. That WAS an awesome post. I'm not sure what I liked more, the writing, the geology lesson (So glad I remembered all that stuff from jr. high, but it was even more interesting this time around) or the analogy. Super.
Somewhere I got lost on the "breadbasket" thing. Anyway, I have had so many one-hand-clapping posts that I feel your pain.
I'm gonna go check out the link. Have a good one.
