Stuff I need to know

Anyone got some answers for these questions:

My  husband needs a jogging stroller. He mostly runs on pavement but does go on off-road trails often. Two questions: fixed wheel or swivel? Also, what about tire size?

And is the BOB worth it? Because I really don't want to pay for one, even at the Craigslist price.

Anyone got a great waffle recipe? Want to share it?

Anyone played Ticket to Ride? Should I get it?

Have you tried Dreyer's Take the Cake light ice cream? If you haven't, you MUST. Super delicious.

Does Tanner sound like a hot guy name? Trying to name a character.

Imagine you're trapped in a twisted alternative version of Iron Chef where you're stranded on a desert island and every dish you eat for the rest of your life must feature the same ingredient in some form. What do you pick? I think I go with potatoes. So versatile . . .although, bacon is tempting. Very tempting.

That is all!

I have played Ticket to Ride with some friends who are cutthroat. It was pretty fun.

I am with you on the potatoes. Can you take a fryer?

Tanner sounds quite hot. And I think potatoes are a very good choice. I hope I could resist choosing something lame like sugar or chocolate, but really, you can't bake much with potatoes and wherever I'm stranded I need to be able to bake. . .

I have to agree with commenter number two. He just says it with such insight.

Tanner, yes. Potatoes, yes. No idea what you're even talking about with anything else here, but I hope you get your answers soon!

Tanner is fabulously sexy. Are your characters going to be stranded? I have a jogger. Get a swivel tire that locks, then you get the best of both worlds. It's hard to turn without a swivel. I have no idea why tire size would matter, but you won't regret the stroller.

Tanner = hot. In summer, I think tomatoes. Jogging? Stroller? What do these words mean?

I am lost on the ingredient, potatoes are amazing but hot island I am thinking maybe a fruit? Probably not though and my vote is yes for Tanner!

Tanner is not sexy to me at all. Because I am of a certain age and grew up watching Full House, and Tanner was that family's last name. So, Tanner makes me think of Bob Saget. BOB SAGET, Melanie.

Potatoes: yes. Jogging stroller: I have one with fixed wheels and it took some getting used to. If you can find one like Susan describes, with the optional-lock on a swivel wheel, I think that would be the best choice.

I cannot overemphasize: BOB SAGET.

Sorry, no great waffle recipe but your waffle question required me to share this site: http://www.waffleizer.com/
I don't think there are actually any waffle recipes but they do some pretty interesting things with a waffle iron. Enjoy!

Definitely bread or potatoes.

There are strollers that have the option of fixed wheel AND swivel - I have one like that called the Jazz, I think, can't remember the brand off the top of my head. I don't run though so I don't have much to offer in the way of advice. A swiveling front wheel would be better, I think.

Tanner is a fab name.

No Tanner.

Yes Ticket to Ride. European version is my favorite.

Potatoes? Maybe. How about bread? Yes, technically includes lots of ingredients, but as long as you get to add lots of other stuff there is infinite variety. You'll run out with potatoes. And bacon. (Although bacon is tempting, too.)

Fruit, bread, cheese, chocolate. It's my mantra.

Running is a solitary activity for me. Blessedly so. So no strollers involved. Sorry. I'm no help!

Ticket to Ride is a game we own and LOVE, but you'll want to get the expansion, which is sold separately.

No help on the jogger or waffles, but if you ever need an awesome pancake recipe, I have that.

Tanner- I knew a Tanner in college and he was hot. So, there you go!

Potatoes. I think of George A. Smith who encouraged the saints to eat raw potatoes with their skins on to cure scurvy. I guess potatoes would be a good thing to have if you were stranded and in danger of malnutrition.

Ticket to Ride is very fun, totally get it.

I love potatoes, I don't think I'll ever get sick of them, so yes on that too.

Tanner isn't my favorite. Sounds like a little boy name to me, not a sexy grown man.

Waffles...just add chocolate chips, that makes everything better!

I can't remember anymore. Sorry!

First, the BOB stroller is totally worth it! It rides very smooth and the canopy is awesome. He will want an awesome canopy, I promise. My husband and I run quite a bit and if we have to take the stroller, the BOB makes it okay. It is such a smooth ride we have even ran a 5k with our 2-month-old. Otherwise, I'm with Inkmom. We have 16" wheels and they're fine. Off-road the swivel wheel is not so awesome, I've heard it unlocks and really isn't for trail running.
Second, Waffle recipe: 2 eggs separated, 1 and 1/2 cups of milk, 1/2 c. vegetable oil, 1 and 3/4 c. flour, 1 Tbs. baking powder, 1 Tbs. sugar, 1 tsp. salt. In small bowl beat egg whites until stiff (not dry) and set aside. In large bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Continue beating, adding milk and vegetable oil. Add dry ingredients, beat until smooth and fold in beaten egg whites. cook in preheated waffle iron. Makes about 3 four section waffles.

Potatoes for sure. You can eat them with practically anything. Including bacon, which is delicious but I would get really sick of it really fast.

I used to like the name Tanner for a guy. Until my Mom adopted a Golden Retriever named Tanner. Now it just sounds like the name of someone cute and cuddly who slobbers a lot.

LOL about Bob Saget. I have a cousin named Tanner. He runs the Ragnar relay. I think that girls have always liked him. Sorry, not much help beyond that. But isn't having a hot guy hero kind of a cliche? I mean, how about a more full figured, approaching middle aged guy in a nurturing profession. Maybe, I don't know, a teacher? Slightly graying...a large nose maybe. Just a few thoughts.

Bacon, definitely.

Jogging stroller: yes, I got mine via Craig's List ($75) and I'm very happy with it. It was new in the box, too.

PS: A good waffle recipe? I use Bisquick, throw in some ground flax seed meal, and some Ghiradeli chocolate chips and call it good. Very Good. :)

I love my jogging stroller, LOVE IT. One thing that would make it wonderful is a swivel wheel, especially when carting multiple kids.

Tanner makes me think of a sensible man. Hot? If you describe him that way. : )

Food? I would say cheese. Mmmm cheese can go in just about everything.
