A curl in the middle of her forehead (such a stupid nursery rhyme, btw)

I used to make fun of my parents all the time for being infomercial junkies. We got steam vacuums and jar openers and the Magic Bullet and this yard doohickey and Shamwows and Snuggies and . . .

If it was advertised on an infomercial, we owned it. But not regular commercials. Those guys just make stuff up. So it was with a great sense of embarrassment that I made my first infomerical purchase ever. I blame it on the Jetblue TV service on a redeye from LA to NY. It seemed like a good idea at the time to purchase the Top Styler. And I was going to show you pictures today so you could decide for yourselves whether it was a good purchase or not. But the pictures are on my new phone which is a Smart(er than me) phone, specifically an Android which has become sentient and doesn't want to relinquish controls of the snaps. So . . .

Not today, friends. No Top Style report today.

However, I think I have better news. It's almost September which means my book is almost out which means there will be some chances to win it, starting NOW! Yay! The info is on my OTHER blog (which if you didn't know that it's because you don't already follow it and SHAME ON YOU FOR MAKING ME CRY!) so head over there and check it out. Is super easy. Is good book. You likey. Go. GO.

Also, welcome to Monday, which started kicking my butt last night.

It's been a while since I've made an infomercial purchase. I'm still saving up for the Pajama Jeans.

I have only bought one thing on infomercial about ten years ago (a veggie juicer). It still works, after all this time. Who knew?

The curl-girl nursery rhyme only really works when you use a super-snobby Brit accent, so horrid and forehead actually rhyme. Also, I have that girl living in my house. Times three.

My mother used to quote that poem to me regularly. Not so much because of when I was good but when I was horrid.
