It's here! The 99th post is here! Like I said on Friday, most of my labels seem to be randomness, dumb stuff I do, and writing. So my two part 99th commemorative post is all about that.
Part 1: The Giveaway of Random Crap (or Crud, if you prefer). It includes
1. A Johnny 99 cd (my husband's band)
2. Our wedding favor mix cd (get it? random songs?)
3. A cd of our Rocktoberfest barbecue playlist (see #2)
4. Two of my favorite recipes (see #2, except substitute "songs" with "recipes")
5. Homemade mint fudge
6. Office supplies, specifically a ten pack of super mod oversized paperclips
7. A new copy of one of my friend Aubrey's book, Spare Change. (She's my critique partner).
All in one neat package! Probably covered in an inside out paper grocery bag!
Here's how you enter:
Just tell me which of these titles you like best for my blog in the comments section and you're entered.

I love you even more after your 99. I can't even tell you how many I could have written, it might totally freak you out. :)
The dance was totally awesome to the max.
I like the blog title write stuff, but if you want to change it, I prefer No Arithmetic because I hate math.
Don't change your title. But I'm the opposite of Heather--I think The Whatnot is better.
(On the Atticus thing: We can totally be friends. In case you were wondering.)
I agree with Heather and Annette. I like your title, and I don't think you should change it.
I think I would have a hard time with the 99 things. Although, Ask Kristina was sort of difficult.
Hey! I love, love, love your title---don't change it! I so look forward to reading your blog every day. By the way, Uncle Mark asks me daily if I have read your blog!
Oh yea, I love your happy dance!!!
Love you
I'm not as nice as Heather. I don't mind freaking you out with how many things we have in common:
1, 2, 5, 7, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24-27, 35-45, 51-58, 60, 66, 76, 80, 83, 85-91, 99.
Boo-yah!
I don't have a cool happy dance though. That was beyond brilliant.
Of the three options, I like your current one best.
Oh, and sorry about that other comment. It posted the wrong thingy from my clipboard. Colour me embarrassed.
I like your current title best of the three. I always find myself mentally changing it to The Write Stuff, but I annoy myself when I do that, and have to keep remind myself that plain Write Stuff is probably better. (And when I say "always" I mean "several times in the few days since I discovered your blog.)
I loved reading your 99 things, but I loved your happy dance even more. I feel guilty for doing that to you, but it was sooo worth it.
I would do like Kimberly and list which of the 99 we have in common, but I'm too lazy.
Totally cool dance!
I loved reading that you didn't love "Twilight"! I refuse to jump on that bandwagon. I simply refuse to read them
I get Atticus and love it.
I like the Write Stuff. Don't change it.
So, I hope I win because that would be very random! (at least for me)
The 99 random things about you were very interesting. You are a good at selling stuff, even though you don't like it. I love that you live four blocks from the ocean and never go . . . sounds like me. In the Caribbean, I lived right on the beach (I had a 180 degree view of the ocean and five islands) and I still didn't go that often! This simply proves that you LIVE in California, you're not a visitor. :)
Loved the happy dance.
. I like Write Stuff (because it's nice as is)
also...sorry to hear abut your parents...mine are both deceased as well. We are to young to be orphans! Good thing you lived in their garage when you could!
now, pick me, pick me!
Write stuff is godd. No Arithmatic is growing on me and I don't even remember the other one so it must not have been great.
I was also going to comment on the things we had in common (and something that we really didn't) but that's a lot of work.
Wow! I'm with EVERYONE. I like Write Stuff. And No Arithmetic second.
I'm going to be totally honest and tell you that I wasn't going to really read your 99 things, just pick out a few here and there to read. But then I couldn't. I had to read them all. You made them very interesting and I love how some of them ran into each other, like 1 and 2 and 11, 12, 13, and 38, 39 and 53, 54, 55. Great job.
And I'm so sad I had to google Atticus. I knew I recognized it but couldn't remember where from. Sad sad sad. I really need to get my hands on a copy of that book soon so we can be friends. And also because I've been meaning to read it again forever.
okay Ikea bugs and fascinates me too! and if I don't win your giveaway I'm totally going to need that mint fudge recipe!
oh and I vote for "Write Stuff"
I'll go with no arithmetic because not only do I loathe math, I loathe the fact that everyone else aroud me seems to get it (and even enjoy it) and I don't!!! And no it has never ever helped with things later in my life as my teachers always said it would. It is not practical, even logical, but alas, all those math geeks would argue to infinity and beyond (and that is a disney term in my book, not a math one) that it is. whatever!!!
I think you ought to be careful when you're dancing because I'm pretty sure I saw teeth. I like Write Stuff best.
Well, "Write Stuff" is what just captured MY attention ...
OK, I'm lame and posted and THEN read your list. I'm guessing you named a son Atticus for the same reason I thought Scout would be a great middle name for a girl. I have 3 girls, but non is named Scout. My husband wouldn't have gone for that, I never even suggested it.
However, I did enjoy the Twilight series. Not because it's great literature, but because there was something embarrassingly satisfying about feeling like a teenager again. It's been a while.
I couldn't see the dance.
I think I like Write Stuff, 'cause it kinda tells you what the blog is about. I used to play the clarinet (play in the loosest sense)
I had two boys and was so happy to get a girl! You would love girls in the long run...I would trade one of my boys for another girl (maybe, not!)

LOVED your list. I can't be trusted with a regular size bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.
I'm torn. I don't want you to enter me into the contest since winning a copy of my own book would be a bit silly. But who can say no to giant paper clips and mint fudge?
I guess I'll go with Shellie and say that I'm going to need the fudge recipe.
P.S. The happy dance rocked.
P.P.S Thanks for buying yet another copy of my book. You truly are the best non-paid publicist a girl could ask for. :)
P.P.P.S That part about you ironing your money made me laugh AND snort.
This blog does not need CHANGE! Stick with write stuff.
And your happy dance totally worked, it made me so happy.
i'm kind of digging "the whatnot" but maybe not so much that you should change your blog name.
and i like the idea behind "no arithmetic"...maybe if it were "no good with numbers." that's pretty much the official writer motto. :)
Oh, no, don't change your name...I love how it comes up as the last entry in my (alphabetical) Favorites list... I like saving the best for last!
OK, first of all, the food network rocks! And, oh shoot, I forgot what else I was going to say. You're going to get more than one comment from me.
I like the Whatnot best.
Ok, I kept notes on the ones I really wanted to respond to. There were lots more I could have responded to.
I believe that Candyland is torture for parents.
66 and 67--Amen
68 and 69--love both the movie and the book. Gergory Peck!!!
70--Me neither
84--The Amazing Race--that's all I can say!
I like your title - but I LOVE your dance! You're a brave girl Melanie!
Nice Dance Mel! I'm impressed with the 99! Very good! I don't know if I could come up with that much.
As for #60, should I be offended that one of those is my MOM? hee hee Don't worry - I won't tell. And yes.. she is nuts. But in a good, loving sort of way. She'd do anything for anyone.
